Today Dallas Love Field Chaplaincy is a dream.
Perhaps, in the future. . .it will be a reality. Dallas Love Field Chaplaincy could be a vital and important service to the people at Dallas' Love Field Airport by providing hope, pastoral care, and emotional encouragement. Even though a chaplaincy ministry does not exist at Love Field at this time, concerned people have a vision to work with faith, business, and governmental leaders to establish an on-going chaplaincy service to meet the needs of passengers, airline employees, contractors, and airport employees.
Progress Underway for Dallas Love Field Chaplaincy
2008
Developmental leaders are working with the appropriate governmental and business leaders to launch services of hope, care, and encouragement for the airport community.
2007
Steps were taken for broadening the faith community's support for the chaplaincy as well as developing an approval process with governmental leaders in order to launch a chaplaincy ministry in the future. Reverend Larry Vowell joined the Executive Team as Chaplain.
2006
Bishop D. D. Hayes joined the Dallas Love Field Chaplaincy team as the Consulting Chaplain. Seven key faith- based organizations endorsed Dallas Love Field Chaplaincy.
2005
Dallas Love Field Chaplaincy was the vision and dream of Dr. Bobby Martin, founding director and Executive Chaplain.
